Although our amazing customers have continued to show their support online and via our online fittings, we still absolutely miss our Coal Drops Yard store! In these difficult times, it’s important to spread the love to small businesses to ensure we all survive this completely unprecedented retail & hospitality landscape.
So, we wanted to share some of our favourite restaurants and retailers in the King’s Cross area, and to let you know how you can support them.
Redemption Roasters
A favourite Coal Drops Yard coffee shop, Redemption Roasters are a staple visit for our store staff, and will be for you too. A coffee shop with a conscience, Redemption Roasters facilitates training for those in the prison system by teaching practical skills and providing employment. Still open every day serving take-away coffee and tasty treats (with social distancing measures in place) Redemption Roasters is a must visit for your caffeine fix.
Sons + Daughters
Possibly the tastiest sandwiches you will ever eat, Sons + Daughters is maybe one of the most satisfying restaurants in Coal Drops Yard. Their sandwiches are honestly next level- so flavourful, substantial, and just downright delicious, oh and are obviously made with the highest quality ingredients. The Merguez s+dwich is a tough one to beat, however, I’ve heard nothing but good things about the whole menu. Currently open Wednesday - Sunday, you can still grab food to takeaway (both from the restaurant and the Sons + Daughters ‘GO’ van on Granary Square), as well as order online via Deliveroo and Click & Collect.
LPOL
Our CDY neighbours, LPOL, create beautiful handcrafted leather goods made right here in London. Although their awesome King’s Cross store is currently closed, all their hand bags, wallets, rucksacks, totes, and more can be purchased via their website. Stunning quality and minimalist design make LPOL products the perfect accompaniment for when we’re allowed out in the big wide world again. You can also treat someone who needs a bit of a pick-me-up with an LPOL gift card!
S120
When it comes to the amazing clothing shops in Coal Drops Yard, one of Team Beija’s favourites is S120. An independent concept store showcasing the coolest curation of women’s clothing, footwear, accessories, and gifts, S120 truly has something for everyone. We loved popping into their Coal Drops Yard store, however you can still easily peruse their website to check out their gorgeous contemporary pieces. If you’re ever struggling to think of a great gift, S120 has the cutest selection of items from crystals, books, prints, to crystal drop jewel AirPods….or the classic gift card is also an option.
Botanical Boys
Although their gorgeous, lush store is no longer open in CDY, Botanical Boys is still keeping things flourishing online. Offering same day delivery in London, gift cards, and online workshops, for those of you who have also adopted a plant family during lockdown, this comes as very exciting news!
