1. SHOPPING
Safe to say half of us have developed an online shopping addiction during lockdown. But what I really can’t wait for is to go actual shopping. There's nothing like going into a shop you love, trying on a beautiful piece of clothing, feeling the materials and really falling in love with it there and then. You take it to the counter, purchase and walk out the door all excited with your new buy, with the added bonus of no countless trips to the post office to find the right size! Online shopping just doesn’t give that same buzz. One big struggle is bra shopping. Although there are some great online bra fitting services out there, I like a bra fitting in store and Beija in Kings Cross, Coal Drops Yard is the best place to do that when everythings open!!
2. Pubs
I think the whole country can agree on this one. It’s the simple things. A beer garden bench with a cold pint, actually pulled at the bar. Sharing a bowl of chips and maybe a jug of Pimms on a sunny spring day. The dream. First place I’m going is The Lansdowne in Primrose Hill. They do great pizzas too..
3. Going out for dinner
I am so bored of planning what to cook for dinner every night! Living in London means being absolutely spoilt for choice with new and old restaurants. I have such a long list of places I can’t wait to go to but I think El Pastor in Coal Drops Yard is top of my list.
4. Getting hair and nails done
After spending practically a year in tracksuit bottoms and my hair in a bun, I’m sooo excited to glam up! First things first a haircut, and then may as well treat myself to some nail funky nails too. Instagram is great for the best nail inspo.
5. Galleries
I have really been missing creative culture. The thought of spending a Saturday afternoon lazily strolling round some galleries and museums is just bliss. First ones I’m going to are James Barnor at the Serpentine Gallery, and Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Rooms at the Tate Modern. They both look so interesting and personally could spend hours there. Lockdown can deflate us all a bit but a good bit of artistic inspiration always helps!
And one bonus is of course simply… Being with friends and family!
I’ve missed all my friends and family so much I just can’t wait to hang out with them.
