Top Areas to Visit in London

Top Areas To Visit in London

London is re-opening! With the new guidelines around the easing of lockdown, we are beyond excited and want to share our top areas to visit in London. The landscape might look a little different, but the spirit of our top places to visit in London will always remain!!

Top of the list of best areas to visit in London is Coal Drops Yard in King’s Cross. The destination is central and really easy to access via public transport. King’s Cross is an interesting and historically rich part of London with a great mix of modern architecture and heritage sites. There are numerous restaurants including Caravan, Dishoom King’s Cross, The Coal Office above Tom Dixon’s space and Barrafina. These are just a few, and there are many other cheaper spots to try that are just as good! Morty and Bob’s is our favourite! There is plenty to do in the area, walking along the canal, sitting by the fountains in Granary Square and popping in to all of the lovely independent shops, so you will need to take the time for coffee breaks and snacks from amazing little destinations including Hiden and Longboys.

The shops near Kings Cross and the clothing shops near to Kings Cross are focussed around the route from the station up towards Coal Drops Yard along Goods Way. Here you will find Lululemon and And Other Stories, along with Nike’s flagship store in King’s Cross. For the coffee shops in King’s Cross, definitely head to Coal Drops Yard and grab a coffee from Redemption Roasters or Sons and Daughters.

The shops worth a visit in Coal Drops Yard, King’s Cross are all independent, and all thoughtfully considered. Definitely pop into the Beija London store on the Yard Level beside COS and Face Gym. Here you can treat yourself to a gorgeous, fun and informative bra fitting in a wonderful interesting space where women are adored, and the male gaze is ignored! They offer all bra sizes from AA-H cups and you are welcome to shop, even without a bra fitting appointment. The store is a great concept and features the original Victorian cobblestones of yesteryear,  beneath a cool lit up Studio 54 esque glass floor!

The area around King’s Cross is a top place to visit when you are in London. It is perfect for a day out and is primed for a safe and socially distanced afternoon in Spring time! You can take a walk along the canal to visit more top areas in London, including Primrose Hill where you can see some beautiful houses and experience a taste of (albeit super prime and fancy) village life in London. You can then mosey through to Regents Park, where you will see a Giraffe's head peeking over the fence, silhouetted by the BT Tower over in Fitzrovia.

Keep walking along and you will come up from the low canal pathway to the area of Notting Hill. Wind your way over to Ladbroke Grove and taste London’s Jamaican flavour at Jay Dees. After a long day, and once Lockdown is over, a night out in and around Ladbroke Grove will guarantee to be just what the doctor ordered.
